Drenching my succulent boneless grilled chicken with yummy honey mustard. The chicken has hints of herbal taste and that totally fits the bill. 

Fusilli was served with parmesan cheese and I love the Shimeji mushrooms, diced cucumber bits, and the ingredients listed.

Although I don't play Mahjong, this is considered the game of kinds and definitely a popular pastime here in Singapore and also a big favourite among the elderly. This cake is perfect for any mahjong enthusiast as it was delicately decorated with Mahjong Tiles and table. It also has auspicious wording like '發' and '暴富‘ with a Money Symbol which I guess most of us will want too.

The cake was made up of a few tiers with alternating sponge cake and crunch. The sea salt chocolate salted caramel flavor was not too sweet and went well with the cake.

This is my first time getting in touch with Pepino Fruit. It looked foreign to me as I have never come across them. It is yellow in colour the size of apples and has distinctive brown stripes on its skin. They have a pleasant scent of vanilla and notes of honey. They smell like honey dew and sweet in taste. These fruits are said to reduce the risks of stress and hypertension. It also aids in preventing diabetes.

These China Hawthorns were handpicked individually and sizes are uniform. Hawthorn helps protect against heart disease and control high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Not only that, it was said to increase coronary artery blood flow, improve circulation and also lowers blood pressure. It has also been used on the skin to treat boils and skin sores.

The Chefs, Chris Ong (Stamford Catering's Executive Chef) and Kevin Nam, put their heads together, going through extensive R & D, creating a menu in the absence of pork and adhering strictly to Singapore F&B Halal requirements from preparation to the handling of food without compromising the cuisine. They also ensure that they did not deviate from the authenticity of their menu.

Daebak Korean Party Set

All Menus feature SBCD Korean Tofu House's Signature Soon Tofu Ham & Cheese or Soon Tofu Seafood Soup. This features Halal version of the original 10 ingredients' secret recipe soup paste (known as "dadaegi" in Korean). It is identical to the original in which the broth is boiled and simmered, bringing out the accentuated flavours of the natural ingredients used.

Next up, the Stir-fry glass noodles ("Japchae") are Korea's must-have dish to usher the new year and their Mid-Autumn harvest festival (also known as "Chuseok"). This dish is accompanied by healthy vegetables which include, mushrooms, carrots, and greens, finished off with sesame seeds toppings.  The soft natural texture of the glass noodles goes well with the crunchiness of vegetables.

Kimchi fried rice is a popular dish in South Korea. The taste of Kimchi was not overpowering and was well balanced with the right amount of Kimchi sourness.

With sweetness coating up the Korean Crispy Fried Chicken, topped with crunchy cashew nuts and sesame seeds, I'm uttering addicted to this dish and could not resist popping them into my mouth.

Beef Bulgogi was my favourite dish and every thin slice of meat was evenly marinated. The tenderness was commendable and besides the marinated flavours, the caramelized onions, as well as vegetables, elevated the dish's sweetness.

With the rising interest in Korean food and drama in Singapore, the initiative of launching Singapore's first halal-certified Korean buffet menu is something that buffet goers will look forward to. 

The Daebak Korean Buffet Spread has two menus, priced at $18 and $22 for a minimum of 30 and 25 pax, and is perfect for corporate events and office gatherings. 

The Daebak Korean Party Set also has two menus, priced at $200 and $240 for a minimum of 10 pax, and is aimed at smaller gatherings and home lunch/dinner parties.

Hup Hup Mee Siam・Laksa・Lor Mee [Media Drop]

Hup Hup is awarded with Top 10 Mee Siam in Singapore and was also featured on the media platforms like Shin Min Daily News etc. They have more than 30 years of experience in culinary and aim to provide these carefully curated recipes of local food delights that were passed down from generations.  Hup Hup (合合) have been around for more than 50 years. Withe the food deliveries option available, we were lucky to have these bowls of yummy local food sent to our doorsteps.

Hup Hup packaged their food in disposable paper bowls and gravy is packed separately in plastic packets. This is good as it prevents the noodles from being soggy with the delivery.

While I was wondering how does the top 10 Mee Siam in Singapore tastes like, i took my first sip of the gravy. I was swept away by the sweetness of this Chinese Mee Siam gravy. The nutty taste together with the rich coconut milk taste was addictive. Before I could even finish my Bee Hoon, I had finished the gravy. Its fragrant was made prominent with the use of dried shrimp.

The orange strands of Bee Hoon on the other hand were soft and had carried out the gravy flavours well within. The ingredients of Mee Siam were pretty common, with hard-boiled egg, beansprouts and Tau Pok.

The bowl of traditional Lor Mee comes with the Hokkien Flat yellow noodle. Ingredients include slices of pork, fish cakes, Ngoh Hiang and half a hard-boiled egg. The Lor taste had a light traditional braised taste which is good as it is not overpowering.

Laksa was served with thick bee hoon and the ingredients are fishcakes, Tau pok, half hard-boiled egg and cockles.

Gravy was sufficiently thick and creamy, packed with fragrance. Flavour was good and decent. What a comforting bowl of local flavour!

The Stroke Black Cake is an ombre black & gold themed cake with meringues. I opt for the Chocolate Banana version. There are alternating layers of chocolate sponge cake with chocolate creams and the bite was textural with some little chocolate balls within. Pieces of cut bananas were seen too.

This is the minimalist and prettiest cake I ever had throughout all my birthdays. Good efforts and creativity in their design!

As for the cupcakes, I had ordered the Birthday Cupcakes (Black-Themed) with Vanilla Raspberry flavour. It comes with a regular box of 6 cupcakes with Happy Birthday Wording, and Mini chocolate bars in silver x black theme.
