Spruce

Previously located at Spruce Old Fire Station in Bukit Timah for 9 years, Spruce has shifted to Hillview so as to make space for new development at their former location. This old station was said to be a home to a new Visitor Centre for the nature parks and will also host other nature heritage and recreational uses.

For those who has been to Spruce, you will have know that they offer European and American cuisine. Their standard and quality of food is always there and a good place to unwind oneself after a hard day of work.

I have been looking around for Pappardelle that will leave me a good impression and I guess I have kind of found it. Pulled Pork Pappardelle is really worth the try. The 7 day Pork Leg was marinated with red wine and served in tomato ragu.

It tasted good and food was rather addictive, without having me stopping at just one mouthful of it. Instead, I can't stop myself from having continuous servings though the dish was meant for sharing.

Irresistible

The pasta texture was Al Dente and went well with Red Wine and Tomato Ragu.

Take a closer look at the shredded pork

Baby Back Ribs served with shoestring fries & Homemade citrus sauce was laudable. The exterior layer was coated with this sweet, tangy citrus sauce with the tender meat underneath. The combination was surprisingly good. Dish was made presentable topping up with some salsa sauce, rocket and alfalfa.

Rustica Pizza was crispy and fragrant top with generous amount of cheese with ingredients like Chorizo, Capsicum, Mushrooms, Rocket and Onions.

The pizza caught us by surprise. It was not the usual kind of thin crust pizza we ever had. The base was pastry made resembling the layers of croissant and was superb.

I love the flakiness to it and the fresh ingredients mixture were nice as well as refreshing. It didn't give us the heavy feel after having it.

Simply Delicious

The food has never been disappointing ever since I knew Spruce. Service is friendly and attentive. As for environment, its brightly lit with beautiful chandeliers and the air flow is good with high ceilings.
