Nimmies Pastry Cafe

Nimmies Pastry Cafe has been marked as our "To Go Places" for sometimes. The gorgeous Parisian-inspired cafe is located in a standalone mansion a stone throw away from Singaporeans' popular KSL Mall and Taman Sentosa.

Nimmies Pastry Cafe

Nimmies Pastry Cafe has both an Alfresco and an indoor dining area. The cafe has an Instagram-worthy interior.

Stairways

It has retro titles, Grecian sculptures, arched windows and even some art pieces. It looks as though we are visiting some museum.

Sculptures

Though the cafe's facade may look uninteresting and dull, do not judge a book by its cover. Internally, the space has tall ceilings and cement screed floorings giving us a different kind of feel.

Interior

We were quite lucky to be served at the upper deck all to ourselves. We were lucky as we made a reservation while we saw a long queue form after us.

Dining Space

The theme of the toilet reminds me of some European style. The tap was golden and toilet was spacious. What keep us talking was the 2 toilet bowls in a single toilet.

Even the coasters were retro! This Passion Fruit Mint Cooler was indeed the saviour for the day for the weather outside was simply too hot for us. The refreshing taste of this cooler and the bits of the passion fruits fresh was perfect.

Another refreshing drink we had was the Virgin Mojito.

While latte art was seen from ordering the hot beverages. The Genmaicha tastes close to a Matcha latte and was not too sweet.

The mushroom soup was thick and had mushroom bits within. It was served with a slice of toast.

The Chili Salted Egg Crab Crossiant is a recommended item and we were quite lucky as it was initially sold out. The pastry had a strong fragrance of salted egg and the flaky pillow soft croissant was undeniably yummy.

Their Big Breakfast was served with tatter tots, eggs, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, sausage, bacon, greens and sourdough toast. It's simple in ordering and normally won't go wrong.

I wasn't a fan of open toast. However, if you want to skip the mains and had something sandwiched with smoked salmon, this may fit your bill.

The seafood Aglio Olio was not too bad with ingredients like cheery tomatoes, scallops and prawns. its a tad spicy.

While their Nasi Lemak Crossiant was sold out, we had their house Nasi Lemak. The presentation was neat with a dish served with blue pea rice, sunny-side-up egg, roasted peanuts with anchovies, cucumber slices, papadum and not forgetting the egg-catching deep-fried thigh meat.

Green Curry Salmon was served with couscous, boiled long beans and broccoli. The dish was rather disappointing for the green curry was salty and the Salmon was not up to our standard. The layer of skin was simply too hard and the salmon fillet was on the dry side.

The pasta was cooked to Al Dente perfection and the salted egg sauce was yummy with deep-fried soft-shell crab topped with some cheese and alfalfa.

Customer service was on the ball and friendly. There are hit and misses on their food, moreover, the food items were rather limited. Nonetheless, I still will want to revisit their pastries.
