Hotplate - Cantine

Hotplate is located at the newly renovated place, canteen in Jurong Point Shopping Mall. Hotaplate is one of the stalls that was seen with queues during most of the dining timing.

Hotplate - Cantine
Tofu Hotplate was indicated as their must try dishes out of the available choices. Price was pretty reasonable at the cost of $5 and comes with rice and a bowl of soup. The rice was served in a small plate instead of a bowl and was rather sticky while the soup was light with cabbages giving a sweet flavor.

Hotplate Toufu Set - $5
In case you may be wondering why most Zhi Char Stall Toufu  Hotplate cost at least $8, what they offer here was the very basic without peas, prawns, chicken or even cashew nuts. The sizzling sound from the hotplate only lasts a few moment, by the time when I carried the dish to the table it had already stopped.

With a thin layer of egg as the base on the hotplate, the dish was filled with a handful of toufu with chopped carrots, onions, mushrooms as well as celery.

The flavoursome sweet brown gravy goes very well with the plain white rice, though simple, the meal itself was quite enjoyable.
