Fingers Hotdog 핑거스핫도그

While passing by Fingers Hotdog along the coastal area, I decided to grab a quick bite since we had unknowingly skipped lunch. With the sky turning dark and knowing we still had hours ahead before reaching our destination, it was a much-needed stop.

Fingers Hotdog

The interior of Fingers Hotdog features a bright, retro diner-style design with vibrant red and white chairs paired with simple white tables. The black-and-white checkered floor adds to the classic American diner feel. The walls are painted in a soft pastel blue, giving a refreshing contrast to the bold red furnishings. Neon lights highlight the counter area, displaying the menu in bold, glowing letters. Retro posters adorn the walls, enhancing the nostalgic atmosphere. Overall, the space is lively and welcoming, perfect for a quick bite during a coastal journey.

Interior

The meal set features a delicious-looking hotdog topped with melted cheese and drizzled with sauce, served alongside crispy golden onion rings. It is paired with a can of refreshing grape soda, accompanied by a glass of ice for extra chill.

Our Set Meal

Interestingly, a pair of scissors is also included, likely for easily cutting the hotdog or other food items. The entire meal is neatly presented on a wooden tray with an orange-red border, giving it a fun and organized loo

Thick Cut Onion Rings

I was quite thankful to have stumbled upon Fingers Hotdog, as it provided a much-needed rest stop to replenish my energy and continue on my ride to the destination.

Cafe Cola 카페콜라

If you're planning a trip to Jeju, Cafe Cola is a must-visit destination, especially for Coca-Cola enthusiasts. This quirky cafe should be on your itinerary if you're a fan of the iconic soda brand. With its vibrant Coca-Cola theme, it's a unique experience that adds a fun twist to your Jeju adventure.

Cafe Cola

I’ve heard that photography at Cafe Cola, even at the facade, is restricted unless you make a purchase. It’s an interesting policy, so grab one of their drinks to snap some photos during your visit!

Interior

The whole place offers a fun experience! Besides the extensive Coca-Cola collection, you’ll also find a Super Mario mascot and various merchandise on display. It's a quirky mix that adds to the charm, making it more than just a cafe—it’s a mini pop culture haven!

Super Mario

There’s even more to explore on the second level of Cafe Cola! With its wide array of Coca-Cola memorabilia and other fun surprises like the Super Mario mascot, it’s definitely worth taking the time to check out everything the cafe has to offer.

Upper Level

The entire place has a fun, Instagram-worthy vibe! With its vibrant Coca-Cola displays, Super Mario mascot, and quirky decor, Cafe Cola makes for some fantastic photo opportunities, especially if you're looking to add a unique touch to your feed.

Instagram Worthy

Get your cameras ready because every corner of Cafe Cola is a photo opportunity! From the vibrant Coca-Cola displays to the quirky decor, it’s the perfect spot to capture fun and memorable moments. Just remember to grab a drink before snapping away!

Coca Cola

Cafe Cola recommends trying their Lemon Coke and Coffee Coke. While Lemon Coke might not feel all that new if you're from Singapore, where lemon and Coke is already a familiar combo, the Coffee Coke is something quite unique. What’s interesting is that they advise against stirring or mixing it, allowing you to experience the distinct layers of flavor. It's definitely worth a try for something out of the ordinary!

Overall, the service was friendly, and the shopkeepers were more than happy to help us take pictures of the facade. Their welcoming attitude added to the enjoyable experience, making our visit even more memorable.

Nayana Plus @ Pasir Ris Mall

Nayana Plus (NP) is an extension of Nayana Kpop Cafe & Restaurant (NKCR), established in 2018. Apart from their current extensive spread of authentic Korean cuisine, NP offers a more widespread range of trending food from the Republic, such as Korean-style Shabu Shabu, wraps, novelty desserts, and drinks.

Pet Owners! Nayana Plus is pet friendly.

The drink menu was an absolute delight, offering a wide variety of options from cold brews and coolers to Dalgona and hot brew teas. What made it even more exciting were the vibrant, eye-catching colours of the drinks, adding a fun visual element to the experience.

The cooler menu was creatively named after popular Korean dramas, adding a fun twist to the experience. We tried "Crash Landing on You," a refreshing mix of peach and lemon, and "Hospital Playlist," a vibrant blend of pomegranate, orange, and lemon.

Crash Landing on You & Hospital Playlist - $8 Each

We had other intriguing options including "Queens of Tears," a tropical mix of mango, passionfruit, and lemon, and "Reply 1988," a delicate blend of lychee, rose, and lemon. Each cooler brought its own unique flavour combination to the table.

Queen of Tears & Reply 1988 - $8 Each

The banchan came beautifully presented in a trio saucer, featuring sweetened lotus root, pickled cucumber, and classic kimchi. Each side dish offered a delightful balance of flavors to complement the meal.

Banchan

There were several fried chicken options to choose from, and we went with the soy garlic. It was served alongside pickled radish and fried to crispy perfection. The soy garlic sauce complemented the chicken wonderfully, and we all loved it.

Fried Chicken

The ginseng chicken soup was another hit at the table. The chicken was cooked to tender perfection, with the bones practically disintegrating. The rich, milky broth was served with some glutinous rice, adding extra heartiness. To elevate the flavour of the tender meat, a dip in the accompanying salt and pepper made all the difference.

Ginseng Chicken Soup

We decided to try their seafood pancake, and it was wonderfully prepared. Not too greasy, it came pre-cut into manageable pieces, making it easy to share.

For an added treat, we dipped each piece in the accompanying sweet sauce, enhancing the flavours beautifully.

Seafood Pancake

We ordered bossam, and it was fantastic! The tender pork pieces paired beautifully with garlic, cucumber, carrots, and kimchi, all wrapped in fresh lettuce.

Bossam

We also added the ssamjang dipping sauce for an extra kick. This communal dish was perfect for sharing, making it a delightful addition to our meal.

Wrapping Up

For Desserts, we indulged in a delightful parfait that had the kids absolutely thrilled! It featured a mix of fresh raw cherries and blueberries, paired with fun ingredients like chocopop, a hint of pepper, wafer biscuits, marshmallows, and rich chocolate ice cream. Topped off with a drizzle of chocolate syrup and a layer of cheesecake cream, this treat quickly became a favorite.

Boy with Luv - $18

We also treated ourselves to the Ice Cream Bingsu called 'Tom Boy“, wow, the kids were overjoyed! Made with juicy mango chunks, creamy mango ice cream, and fluffy milk shaved ice, it was a refreshingly sweet and satisfying way to wrap up our meal.

Citrus Tart 에귤타르트

We were on the lookout for some ice cream when we stumbled upon Eggultart. It looked like a charming little hut and café, warmly welcoming visitors with some cute mascots at the entrance.

Eggultart

The interior was clean and neat, creating a cozy atmosphere. The floor-to-ceiling height was a bit low, but the space was well-lit with warm lighting and adorned with a chandelier, giving it a cozy and inviting ambiance. We used the self-service kiosk to conveniently order our desserts—ice cream!

Interior

We ordered the Strawberry & Vanilla and Tiramisu ice cream. While I tend to prefer something a bit more refreshing and less creamy, we still enjoyed the dessert and managed to finish it before continuing on our ride.

Siroco 시로코

As we began our Jeju Fantasy Bike Path, we stopped by Siroco Terrace Cafe to satisfy our hunger before hitting the road. Siroco is a lovely terrace cafe located uphill along the coastal line of Jeju in Yongdam.

Siroco

The cafe featured both an interior and an alfresco dining area, and we chose to dine in the garden to be closer to the beautiful coastline of Jeju.

Garden Dining

As we enjoyed our breakfast, we were treated to the sight of planes flying across the sky at intervals, adding to the charm of our experience.

Our Dining Area

Being my curious self, I ventured into the cafe to explore its atmosphere and made my way to the upper level.

In the Cafe

The furnishings were simple yet welcoming, featuring a lovely chandelier.

Chandelier

The upper level was exciting, as you could sit on the floor and enjoy the coastal view through a large glass panel, making it a cosy spot to take in the scenery.

Dining

In addition to the floor seating, there was another section with plush cushion chairs for dining. This provided a comfortable option for those who preferred a more traditional seating arrangement while still enjoying the lovely view.

Upper Level

I suppose we’re quite spoiled by the good selection of food in Singapore's cafes, so it felt different to expect more cooked options for breakfast here. Nonetheless, we enjoyed some pastries from the shelves and sipped on beverages to warm ourselves up.

Love the Art on our cup of Green Tea Latte.

Everything came in pairs, and we indulged in the Pain Au Chocolat. It was a delightful treat that complemented our breakfast perfectly!

Pain Au Chocolat - 8500₩ (2 pcs)

We also enjoyed the croissant, which paired wonderfully with the Pain Au Chocolat. Both were delicious and made for a lovely breakfast!

Croissant - 7800₩ (2 pcs)

The salt bread was something special for us, and it came in two pieces as well. The exterior was a rich brown, adorned with salt crystals.

When we bit into it, we discovered its hollow interior, releasing a delightful buttery fragrance that made it even more enjoyable!

Hollow and Buttery

Here's a photo of our breakfast before we embarked on our expedition! The coastal view was incredibly therapeutic, especially with the lovely cool weather.

Heukdogam Black Pig Specialty Store 흑도감 흑돼지전문점

Walking along the bustling streets of Jeju City, we stumbled upon a Black Pork BBQ restaurant and decided to pop in for dinner. Given the language barrier since arriving in Jeju, we asked for an English menu and were pleasantly surprised to be assisted by a Mandarin-speaking staff member, making the experience much smoother.

Restaurant Facade

We were served with banchan, and it was a pleasant surprise to see that the dishes were different and looked unfamiliar to us. It was exciting to explore new flavours and experience the authentic side of Korean cuisine.

Banchan

Back home, we're usually served with a few short pieces of kimchi in Korean restaurants, so we were surprised to see much longer leaves of kimchi served here. It was an unexpected but interesting variation from what we're used to!

Kimchi

We were filled with joy on this trip and decided to order beers to reward ourselves, making the meal even more enjoyable and celebratory.

Beer

After comparing Terras and Kelly beer, we concluded that we prefer Terras. Its flavour suited our taste better, making it our top choice for the evening!

Beer Bottle Caps

While Jeju is renowned for its black pig, we opted for the black pork belly and fresh ribs. The raw meat was first presented at our table for us to inspect before being partially cooked. It was beautifully served on a wooden board, accompanied by vegetable stalks and a slice of oyster mushroom, making for an impressive display.

150g Jeju Black Pork Belly & 200g of Parkpo Saenggalbi - 17,000₩ & 22,000₩

As it was our first meal there, I was a bit surprised to see vegetable stalks served alongside the BBQ meat. This was quite different from what I’m used to back home, as local Korean BBQ restaurants typically don’t include vegetables in this manner. It was a unique touch that caught me off guard!

Some vegetables Stalks

The friendly servers assisted us with grilling the meat and expertly sliced it for us, enhancing our dining experience.

BBQ Meat

To keep the food warm and prevent it from overcooking, the server thoughtfully stacked the meat pieces on a piece of aluminum foil. It was a considerate touch that made our dining experience even better!

Ready to Eat

Since this was my first Korean BBQ meal in Jeju, we were quite excited and noticed some subtle differences in the way it was served compared to back home — for instance, the sauce was served piping hot, which was a pleasant surprise.

Sauce

We dipped the meat in the bubbling sauces and wrapped it in the vegetables, savouring our ssam. It was a delicious way to enjoy the flavours and textures all together!

Ssam

Here's another variation of my Ssam with vegetable stalks.

Ssam

The hospitality at this restaurant was great, and we had an enjoyable dinner. We spent about $50 in total, which included the beers and one bowl of rice, making it a worthwhile experience!
