We see many food stalls getting commercialised and branching out nowadays, including Lin Yu Mei's Sarawak Kolo Mee. Having known of this popular "branding" from their original stall in Haig Road, I'm keen to try out their Kolo Mee.

There are 4 versions of Kolo Mee to choose from, the original, with black sauce, with red sauce or with soup base. The taste was decent loaded with minced meat and condiments.

The Red Sauce Version of Sarawak Kolo mee was beyond my liking as the sauce was simply too sweet. No doubt that the ingredients like minced pork were fragrant with shallot oil, but the dish as overall left me disappointed.

Pieces of Char Siew were lean and not too oily.

While brands like this branch out their stalls, I wonder if the taste consistency is being maintained.
