Ji Tuo Dim Sum 寄托港式点心 [Relocated]

If you are in Bukit Batok area, you can drop by to support this Hong Kong Style Dim Sum stall in the neighbourhood. She is just a few stalls away from Changi Nasi Lemak if you come across this. The number of items on the menu may not be extensive enough but the staples of Dim Sum are mostly there. The lady chef has a very strong Hong Kong Cantonese accent and is believed to come from there.

One of my favourite orders will be their fried Carrot cake. Not only it was served piping hot, they do have a crispy exterior and ingredients can be significantly seen as we enjoy the bite from the carrot cake. Carrot strips and sausage bits were found and the interior texture of the cake was springy. Definitely worth my calories.

Sauce goes well with Chee Cheong Fun with Char Siew meat wrapped between. However, if you are looking for slim layers of rice rolls, you might be a little disappointed here.

Char Siew Chee Cheong Fun 叉烧猪肠粉 - $3

Simple dish but able to fulfill many empty stomachs with the warm and smooth texture of the porridge.

The porridge dish was garnished with chopped spring onions as well as fried crackers for additional texture.

Char Siew Pau was soft and pretty ordinary in terms of taste.

Fillings are orange in color and at least you can see pieces of meat instead of lumps of minced meat.

Its actually quite a phobia for Siew Mai that have a strong meat taste but to my surprise, the taste from their Siew Mai was light and pleasant. It was not too oily and the texture of the meat was bouncy too.

Mushroom Siew Mai 烧卖 - $2.50 (3 Pcs)

Bean sauce steamed chicken feet was not bad in taste but it comes a little too peppery and spicy for us. Therefore the lesser use in the spice will be perfect for us.

Last but not least we order Crispy Beancurd Skin Roll 香脆腐皮卷 for $3. The crispiness together with the piping hotness makes the bites so inviting. Yummy!

Our Dim Sum Orders

There are ample parking lots nearby in the open car park and traveling here does not seems a problem for us.

Overall, there are hits and misses from the dishes however, at least the taste is not the typical ones that I have from most of the Dim Sum places in Singapore. Why not drop by and give your support.
