Zhen De Hao

Recently I had noticed that there were a number of Steamed food setting up in more and more hawker centres that rythmes with the name "Zhen" which means "Steam" in mandarin. In such case, Zhen De Hao also means "Really Good" when translated just from the chinese pronunciation. Their style of serving was rather eye catching as the food was served with those wooden bamboo steaming trays.

These Steamed delights somehow are targeting at health conscious patrons and with its good spread of choices, there is no doubt that they had attracted lots of customers lining up in front of their stall during meal times.

Stall
Ordered 2 steamed dishes over our dinner. The meal comes along with a bowl of cabbages and carrot soup. It was light and tasted free of MSG and white rice is charged separately.

Rice - $0.50
Packed in a distinct ginger fragrance, the chicken was tasty but a little oily added with soften fungus. Overall, the food seemed to be prepared by using different method before putting into the steamer.

Fungus with Ginger Chicken - $4

Steamed egg was good! Smooth with minced pork as its bottom and flooded with a layer of light soy topped with spring onions.

Steamed Egg - $2.50
It's a value for money meal and was cheaper a little than the one I had in West Coast.

Rating: 3.5 / 5
