Viet / Tom Yam

Viet / Tom Yam is located at the basement of Koufu food court in Anchor Point. I was first recommended to this stall many years back for its delicious Thai and Vietnam food. Viet / Tom Yam served a wide spread of vietnam and thai cuisine, over 20 kinds of items on their menu.

I'm a fan of Viet's Thai Brisket Pho (Kway Teow / Rice Noodle) and I find that what Viet Thai served totally fits my taste buds. Initially I thought that the sweetness from the broth was abit on the high side but I realized that after squeezing some lime juice over, it had actually neutralized the taste by a little.

Slices of beef briskets included was tender and easily chewed. The soup was tasty with beansprouts and lettuce which sum up the entire dish. Though simple, the bowl of noodles was close to an authentic one in Viet name of course without the herbs.

Condiments can be self help at the payment counter as well. I love the Thai Chilli in fish sauce and had doused these beef briskets on them. Love it!

Beef Brisket Pho - $5

Price is reasonable considering the amount and quality of food received. Perhaps, the cheapest Viet's beef noodle soup in Alexandra area. Service wise, my order take no longer than 5 minutes.
