Capri Trattoria & Pizzeria

Thanks to the pal who took the effort in searching an Italian Restaurant that serves Pappardelle. It was a nice meetup and our reservation makes it seems like we had booked the entire floor space! The environment was definitely cosy with attentive service with Italian vibes ~ Italian music playing in the background.

I missed Carpaccio! It's been a while since I ordered in an Italian restaurant. Thin slices of raw beef were laid on the plate in citron sauce, capers and arugula top with shaved parmesan. It's not the best that I have had but definitely enough to fix my craving.

Carpaccio Di Mazo - $20

Homemade Pappardelle was black and served with prawns and scallops with black olive, bell peppers and my favourite sundried tomatoes. The texture of the pasta was al dente and thickness was just nice. The execution of pasta in the tangy tomato sauce was good enough.

Pappardelle Gamberi e Capesante (100g) - $28

These pockets of homemade ravioli were stuffed with stirred fried beef meat, garlic tomato cream sauce sage. The cream taste was rather light and we are delighted.

Ravioli di Carne Macinata (120g) - $28

It's always a good practice ending the Italian meal on a sweet note. We are glad that we had made the right choice on their homemade popular Italian Classic Tiramisu. This 'perk-me-up' cake that was made up of ladies fingers dipped in espresso was layered with mascarpone cream cheese base and served with slices of strawberry.

Classic Tiramisu - $12

Notice that there is quite a handful of homemade pasta in their menu and we have already tried two above. Not many places sell pappardelle and I'm still searching for a better one but as a whole, the dining experience was not too bad. I don't mind making a return trip here.
