God Fried Chicken

 After finishing our errands and needing a mental break from being cooped up in our accommodation in the middle of an industrial area, we rode out and stumbled upon a quirky fried chicken spot called God Fried Chicken. Ordering here is done entirely through a tablet system, which means there’s no human interaction and yes, I once again found myself struggling to read through it all.

Nonetheless, I managed to figure it out and placed an order for some soy fried chicken. The wait was quite long, but I didn’t mind much, as everything seemed freshly prepared to order.

I know, right? What’s a visit to South Korea without indulging in their famous fried chicken! The soy fried chicken was absolutely delicious, with every piece evenly coated in its savoury-sweet soy marinade. Despite being drenched in sauce, the deep-fried skin somehow stayed perfectly crispy, adding a satisfying crunch to every bite. Pairing the crispy skin with the sticky, sweet sauce was simply heavenly exactly the comforting, flavourful treat I’d been craving.

Of course, fried chicken has to be paired with beer and here we go! The cold, refreshing beer was the perfect match for the piping hot, crispy soy chicken. Sipping and nibbling away, we let the time slow down, enjoying that simple pleasure of good food, good drink, and a break from our day. It was exactly the little reward we needed after a long ride and a day of errands definitely one of those moments that make you appreciate why Korean fried chicken is such a must-try.

Somehow, we just couldn’t get enough of the chicken and decided to order another portion to take away, since we still had to get ready for the next day. This time, we went for the fried chicken with cheese and oh, it was really awesome.

The crispy skin coated in that savoury cheese flavour was heavenly, adding an extra layer of richness to every bite. It was the perfect treat to bring back to our accommodation, a comforting snack to enjoy while winding down and making plans for tomorrow.

It seems like we can never get enough of this fried chicken it’s just too yummy! Every bite is so satisfyingly crispy, juicy, and full of flavour that stopping at just one portion feels impossible. It’s the kind of comfort food that makes you crave just one more piece, whether you’re eating it fresh at the restaurant or sneaking bites back at your accommodation. Honestly, it’s no wonder Korean fried chicken has such a loyal following we’re definitely part of that club now!
