The queue that form up in front of Utara has caught our attention one day as we were buying lunch from the neighboring stall. Out of curiosity, I went up to the stall front to check out what Utara is selling. Their signboard too caught my attention as they were selling rice dishes that is not of the mainstream.

The portion was quite big and in fact, the plate can be share between 2 pax.

It was my first time ever in ordering Tomato rice. The fluffy long grain rice has hints of tomato taste comes with a big piece of chicken meat with some gravy drenched on the rice.

The dish was rather fiery with chili coated on the chicken. It looks wet in its gravy and from the texture of the skin, the chicken was pre-fried before coating with the gravy.

Nasi Briyani Chicken was special item on menu that day. The execution of the plate of chicken Briyani is a little bit different with the use of mint leaves as garnishing. Briyani rice was fluffy and fragrant with the curry gravy.

All in all, the food was not too bad, I will not mind making a return to test out other items on the menu.
