Yong Heng Fried Squid Prawn Mee . Hokkien Mee

In the past, Yong Heng's Fried Squid Prawn Mee stall come to my mind whenever I was thinking what is the recommended food in Bukit Batok. The stall has been reputable over the years with media featuring and even local artist's recommendation.

Due to Phase 2 (Heighten Alert), we are only allowed to take the food away. The noodles were gloopy and wet in which they have absorbed the rich flavours and the packet was savory. The small portion comes with 2 prawns and a few squid rings. Besides the flavours of noodles, the most that we focus will be the Hokkien Mee's Chilli. Traditionally flavoured with the use of Belachan, it was mellow and not as powerful as their competitor next door.

As an overall, I like the packet of Hokkien Mee as traditional as it tasted like this in its Belachan chilli. Texture of the noodle was decent and the ratio use of both yellow and white noodles were comparable.

Look at the texture of the noodle :)

Afterall, I would say that it still serves one of the traditional taste of what I know and expect from a plate of Hokkien Mee and as an overall, its taste fits my liking and they fare above average.
