JJ Sarawak Noodle

Continuing where we left off, our quest for Sarawak Kolo Mee has landed us in Jurong West. This is a small little stall hidden away in a corner of the bustling Jurong West Hong Kah Point Market & Hawker Center.

Stall Front

The menu was rather limited here with only white sauce Sarawak Noodle that comes in either the soup or dry version. This is a larger portion with ingredients like fried Wanton Skins, minced pork and slices of Char Siew. However, the flavour was not intense enough be it the noodle or the minced pork as it lacked the aroma of the fried pork lard was lacking. Furthermore, the texture of the noodle was a bit overcooked and soggy.

Sarawak Noodle - $5

Sarawak Laksa broth taste was tangy with light hints of coconut milk flavours. Bee Hoon is accompanied by ingredients filled with shredded chicken, prawns, and thin layers of egg.

The taste of Sarawak Laksa is acceptable and ordinary, however, not to die for.

We went there with high hopes but left with disappointments. After having Kolo Mee for some weekends, my preference still goes to Sarawak Delicacy Laksa & Kolo Mee for their quality and fragrance really matches my expectation.

Rating: 3 / 5
