SKIRT is an European grill house located inside W Hotel. It is a modern restaurant focusing on prime cuts of meat and sustainably sourced seafood.


Designed of the restaurant was magnificent. It gave a different feeling when we stepped into the place. It has a grand modern overhead installation depicting elements like horns and feathers.


For a start, we ordered a bottle of sparkling water for sharing.

Over in the middle of the restaurant, you get to see the preparation of dishes and service staff busying on their job.

Skirt Kitchen

Shortly after our orders, we were welcomed with Foccacia bread on the board accompanied by a wedge of butter and some salt.


This is complimentary from the house. We did not get hold of its name but it was rather refreshing and consist of lobster meat.


Citrus Crab on Toast was refreshing with Chipotle Aioli, Espelette Pepper and pickled chilli. I'm not a fan of bread that have hard edges, therefore I might consider ordering something else if I got another chance.

A presentable dish making up of 3 scallops, burnt leek, chicken skin and lemon Puree. It was indeed quite appetizing for me. The only shortfall from the dish was a bitter after taste with the Lemon Puree.

Pan-Seared Scallops - $32

Two bottles of apple bourbon were given to us in between dishes. It is rather refreshing, making up of whisky, apple juice

The grilled Maine Lobster was served with grapefruit, cucumber, Jerusalem Artichoke Vierge. It was a bit on a salty side for me but overall, the freshness and texture from the crustacean was still okay.

Having roasted potato as our sides aren't a bad choice too. It was served in a saucepan with garlic cloves and herbs. Duck fat was used here in the roasting process. The firmness was there and was not too marshy for me.

We checked with the servers if the steak doneness will be prepared in a more American way or French way, as usual, the French way will be on a raw side. Luckily, we had it medium doneness and the steak texture was ideal. It was smoky on the surface and was robustly moist in the inside. Thumbs Up!

SKIRT Steak - $89

The Dark Chocolate Souffle was served together with plum & Burgundy Wine Sorbet and it was so kind that the server had given us a complimentary scoop of vanilla ice cream. The marriage of bitter dark chocolate and vanilla sweet taste was definitely a perfect recommendation. Not forgetting the Sorbet that neutralises the taste afterwards.

Chocolate Souffle - $20

Service was attentive. SKIRT has a wide selection of beef and is definitely a steakhouse recommended for special occasions.
