This Black & White Fish Soup has been a while in my "To Eat" list but I have never got the chance for the stall only opens during the weekdays from 11.30am till sold out. Considering the human traffic there, they are known to be one of the popular stalls in Berseh Food Center with long snaking queues.
For those who love to choose between Fried and White Fish, I'm sorry, there is no choice of fish for patrons here. The only choice you can have it either in the big portion at $8 or the Small at $6 with a mixture of fish. If you want additional Chili, soup, vegetables or rice, they are all chargeable at a separate cost.

I was surprised that our bowls and utensils were all served in disposable which is not environment friendly. Let's not talk about presentation and dig in.

I was curious and started scooping up its ingredients. The way they execute this bowl of fish soup is definitely different from the usual ones in the hawker, just look at the fried egg in the soup. The use of Nappa cabbages, fried fish and chunky thick slices of fresh white fish is quite common though. For those who don't prefer having fried fish with bones, you may not enjoy the dish too.

Well, I guess this is the only consolation to my meal here and perhaps the reason for the return of their die-hard fans. I have to admit that the Cincalok chilli was outstanding especially when you dip in those pieces of fish.

Though Mei Xiang Black & White Fish Soup do have her consistent cohort of Fans, I felt that such style of Fish Soup does not really suit me. I will prefer a clearer soup with the usual freshness of the fish.
