Rice Bowl Hero

Checking out the Rice Bowl Hero that had gone abit viral in the West Neighbourhood. Perhaps the starring rice bowl that contains a lobster is something that draws the crowd. Let's check it out!

Was kind of disappointed when I learnt that the grilled lobster rice bowl and a few other items was sold out for the day. I'm glad that their business was good and sad that I'm not in time for their dinner. Nevertheless, we did not waste our trip there, we continued to order a few dishes and try it out.

Ever eaten Spaghetti from a cup? You will have your first try here if you have not done so. The taste of tomato base did not blend in well with the spaghetti and there goes a tasteless cup. Moreover the texture of the pasta was bloated, was not to our taste. Overcooked. Grilled chicken on the other hand was tender and pretty ordinary, nothing to shout about.

Tomato base Spaghetti with Grilled Chicken - $7.80
A different combination of food items in the rice bowl. Grilled Pork Cheek comes with chopped onions and cucumbers which reminds me of having satay. The meat was placed on top of a bed of yellow rice packed with chicken rice flavours. The disappointing part may be the egg when we thought we could have "onsen" egg instead of half boiled egg like this.

Charsiew Pork Cheek - $9.80
Fish fillet was dry and the egg here has already told us the consistency of the dish. The rice bowl ingredients were pretty much the same with fragrant yellow chicken rice, egg, cherry tomatoes, shredded cucumbers and onions.

Sweet & Sour Fish Fillet - $7.80
If you are looking for food to fill your stomach, this will be a bad idea. Regards to portion and pricing, I would say price is steep and not very worthy. Thus, even a return for their lobster bowl is tough for me.
