Interior was modern french, adopting a patio-concept with about 90 seaters eatery.
Atmosphere
Every main course comes with a bowl of soup of the day complemented by a slice of Ciabatta Garlic Bread.
Soup of the day that comes with the meal
Deep fried chicken that was not spicy at all but then it was quite special in its cripsy fried skin and refreshing lemon taste underneath.
Spicy Wing Zing - $6.50 (4 pcs)
For coolers, we had all four kinds of Fruit Coulis on the menu namely, lychee, raspberry, strawberry and mango. They were refreshing and icy cool, most tasted blend except for the Raspberry Coulis, it had a stronger fruity taste.
Fruit Coulis - Lychee, Raspberry, Strawberry, Mango - $3.80 Each
This was one of the favourite dishes out of all ordered, with pork belly stewed in lychee coulis served with Shitake mushrooms, butter lettuce and Chinois coleslaw. The meat was literally melting soft with sweet tasting graving which made me could not resist any further. However it seems like those Lychee pops stated on its menu were nowhere to be seen.
Lychee Pork - $13.50
Steak sliced and cooked to medium wellness as requested. It was
served with julienne salad and spicy Thai dressing. A nice tangy taste that lingers for a a minute or so.
Siamese Striploin - $16.50
Though it was requested for medium wellness, the striploin was overcooked and almost well done. Luckily for some of us, we preferred it to be cooked this way.
Striploin cooked to medium wellness
Slow-cooked lamb shank in rose wine and red grain marinade. It was tender and required some force for it to fall off from its bone. This dish is served with beans ragout and tomato fondue.
Braised Lamb Shank - $15.50
Crabmeat and ebi burger with fried egg, served with stri-fried seasonal vegetables. The meat came in a round patty and tasted more of ebi, it was springy and lies on a bed of cabbages. The cabbages tasted pretty raw to me.
Signature Crab Meat Burger - $13.50
Creamy bowl of escargot with mushrooms, spinach gnocchi
and cheese gratin. The brown crumbs spreaded on the top had given a sensuous touch to the dish.
Escargot Friscassee - $12.50
Penne in seafood stewed in roasted tomato sauce . Pasta was cooked to al dente perfection with fresh seafood included like mussel, fish and prawns.
Cioppino- $15.50
Selection of fresh mushrooms with
herb croutons, topped with an egg and Parmesan cheese gratin.
Mushroom Duxelles- $12.50
Having ordered all its signatures, I would say that it wasn't that impressive to us. Though prices were reasonably stated with acceptable portions, the taste did not leave us with satisfiable stomachs, perhaps we had too much expectations earlier on. Nevertheless, it still adds on to my list of affordable French Food Restaurants in Singapore.

The queue of Ji Xing Hainanese Curry Rice is going strong and steady at
lunch time ever since its opening . The big portion of
rice with its copious amount of unique Hainanese Curry gravy poured over
the rice and selected items had irresistibly gained the nods of fellow
patrons.
Having known of their giant portion, I requested for lesser
rice and went ahead to order. 3 in a team, with one scooping the rice,
one picking the dish and the other collecting payment. Out of them 3,
the busiest seen was the one in the stall scooping customer's selected
dishes and in between mixing the selected dishes with another layer of
curry before placing them on the plate. However, service was quite fast
with such collaboration.
Ji Xing Hainanese Curry Rice
The braised cabbages were very soft and moist as well as the
bitter-gourd. Breaded porkchop was one of my favourites too! It was
fried to a cripsy golden brown perfection and was cut into smaller equal
pieces. Some may find the dish was quite spicy with such generous
amount of curry gravy but to me it fits the bill as I prefer the "wet"
look on my food rather than having the dry version.
$4.50
Their breaded pork seems standard seemed to deteriorate, unlike the past where it was meaty and not this dry.
Breaded Pork Chop
The minced meat was one of the top favourite that diners love to order. Tender and delicious, it comes in a flatter version than in a ball form.
Minced Meat - $2
Fallen for its braised belly! It was well braised and addictive especially when it was cooked till soften, more tender than what we have in a Kong Bak Bao or similar!
Belly Richness
Just look at the distinctive layers from the belly. Yums! It's is definitely worth being sinful for once at that moment.

If you are seeking for some Hainanese Flavours in West Coast Area. Why not head down to West Coast Market Square and have a taste!
Yeah! 4 Fingers is finally opened in Westgate after months of wait since the mall opening. Since its operation, it has been pack full snaking queues outside its shop front. The first question that pops into my mind everytime when I see its queue, "Is it really that good?" as they have been there a while and I thought novelty should have worn off by then.
Interior
However this fast food chain restaurant is well-received among the youngsters. Perhaps Korean Fried Chicken is up in the food trend now. There are choices of Garlic Soy, spicy and mix flavours for diners.
Ordering Counter
A beeper is provided upon payments made at the counter and once it lights up in red, one has to go over to the Pick up point to collect the order.
Beeper
I'm quite amazed that the chickens were served in mass tins and just grease papers. The color of the chicken looked dull and overfried, unlike the usual golden brown crispy kinds.
Soy Garlic / Hot / Mix -$16.95
Sticky with its garlic and soy marinated seasonings, they were quite dry and required some force from our teeth to pull them off from its bones. And too bad it wasn't hot in term of its temperature.
Sticky Marinated Wings
We upgraded one our drinks to Yuzu Aloe Vera. For those who are taking these non soft drinks, remember to give the drink a stir as it was make up of Yuzu Concentrate and plain water.
Yuzu Aloe Vera
We had both Seaweed and kimchi seasonings for our fries. The seasonings was not that sufficient and was not consistent. Perhaps we have to shake them? But still, I prefer the other fast food joint's quality of fries and seasonings.
Seaweed Fries
Kimchi Fries
Calamari and shrimps was drenched with a portion of the soy sauce with the tangy taste from the lime.
Calamari & Shrimp Combo - $9.95
There was only 1 counter in operation at the time of purchase, and most probably the cause of the queue. However, once our fried chicken combo order were make, we can get them almost instantly.
After enjoying my meal and get our fingers working on these marinated chickens, we find it rather inconvenient to walk out of the restaurant to get our hands clean. It will be much thoughtful to have a basin build in the restaurant for customers to clean their hands before and after meals.
Afterall, I still prefer our conventional Kentucky Fried Chicken Taste to Korean's style. I won't want to be caught amongst their long queue again.
Another stall in Pek Kio checked! It's quite easy to spot the popular stalls just by one look at the persistent long queues lined up in front of the stall.
Soon Lee Mushroom Minced Pork Noodle
Ordered the Mee Kia Dry version with ketchup. I admit that the bowl of noodles was not too impressive but it carries a special and down to earth taste of how a simple bowl of Minced Pork Noodle should taste like. With a few pieces of braised mushrooms, slices of fishcakes, lean meats, minced pork as well as fresh bouncy fishballs, that make up a good bowl of noodle served in ketchup, garnished with coriander.
Mushroom Minced Pork Noodle - $3
The bowl of soup has a significance difference from those normal minced pork noodle soup which i had tried before and I'm kind of hooked to it. In the end, I had finished the entire bowl of soup.

Double Spring Teochew Lor Duck Kway Chap
Pricing was a steal here. Taking into consideration that the plate of ingredients consists of duck and portion of pig innards, such meal usually cost $4.50 at least. In addition, portion was generous, not just a few slices of braised duck but its definitely more than enough to pair with the bowl of soupy "kway".
Duck Kway Chap - $3.50
Braised drenched over the plate was light in taste with not much of herbal taste. However, its "Lor" (braised) was good enough and well absorbed by every item on the plate. Tasty!
Ingredients
Kway was nothing special in particular and was ordinary.
Kway
All in all, for kway chap lovers, try not to give this stall a miss.
