Savour the Authentic & Traditional Flavours of Malaysian Cuisine in Singapore. Nanyang Dao has expanded their eateries, from the existing 3 branches and setting the 4th outlet to be opened in October 2023 at Anchorvale. Indulged a delectable delight that will transport you to the enchanting streets of Malaysia.

As usual, drinks were served while waiting for the food to be served. The 3 Layers Coffee was unique and robust while the Buah Long Long Drink was on the sour-sweet side at the beginning but was later made diluted by the ice cubes.

Starting off the meal with the New item on the menu, fried mushroom. Every piece of it was lightly coated with batter and its aromatic.

Nasi Lemak was packed with fragrance from its rice and coconut milk. Nasi Lemak is made up for Fried Peanuts, Anchovies, Azar, hard-boiled eggs and fried chicken.

KL Fried Kway Teow has a strong Wok Hei taste which I'm looking for. Its creamy egg sauce had also help in elevating the dish.

The Fried Pork Belly was not too bad. It has a good ratio of meat to fats without being too tough on its texture.

Fried to golden brown in colour, enjoy these yam rolls by dipping them into the sweet sauce.

The Creamy Egg Sauce was magical, it paired so well with KL Fried Kway Teow as well as this Crispy Egg Noodle. Soften the noodle by tossing them into the sauce and savour down the dish!

Fried Lychee Shrimp Ball is new on the menu. The creativity of the dish was quite impressive as the presentation resembles the Lychee Fruit.

The Hometown  Prawnpaste Fried Chicken aka "Har Cheong Gai" looked faint in colour and was not attractive enough on the outside but as the saying goes, do not judge a book by its cover. The wings were packed with full flavours from its special shrimp paste batter. The crisp on the outside and juiciness of the meat were laudable.

This Pasar Malam Fried Carrot Cake caught me by surprise for its yumminess. These bouncy cubes were cooked together with bean sprouts, eggs and vegetables.

The Stir-Fry Prawns with Eggs is new on their menu. It was served on a plate that looks like a bowl of fried rice with an egg blanket.

Unlike Singapore's version of Char Kway Teow, Penang Fried Kway Teow generally is lighter in colour. This staple dish of Penang's was stir-fried with bean sprouts, prawns, fish cakes and Chinese sausage. The plate was packed full of Wok Hei, which I'm looking for in such a dish.

Penang Prawn Noodle soup was delectable. Lean Meat, fish cakes, Kang kong, hard-boiled egg and prawns were used.

The meal will not be completed without ending it with their desserts. The Chendol was loaded with coconut milk and sweet gula melaka. Totally love the textural differences between the chewy green jelly and the melt-in-your-mouth ice.

Cendol 煎惹
Cendol 煎惹 - $3.50

Ice Kacang colour gave different from the usual ones I had. Ingredients include creamy corn, red beans, grass jelly, peanuts and Attap Seed.
