Huats Kee Fish Head Steamboat

With so many food options in The Grandstand, we finally come to a decision to have Fish Steamboat for dinner. No doubt is already in the midst of peak hours, the kitchen staff are still busy cooking and preparing to dole out dishes to the waiting customers.

We started with delicious and tasty prawn rolls served with sweet sauce to pair with our bowls of white rice.

Prawn Roll 虾枣 - $12

We ordered the fermented beancurd fried pork as sides too. The meat has a good ratio of lean and fat, well marinated in fermented bean paste.  

Fermented Beancurd Fried Pork 南乳炸肉 - $10 

Charcoal Fish Steamboat made the dish look old school which not many eateries will provide. The chunks of fresh snapper Fish were good and the soup was made up of vegetables, tomatoes, tofu, seaweed, and yam.

Snapper Steamboat 红哥里鱼头炉 - $28 (Small)

The soup was not as flavourful as expected and can be improved. Yam was lacking flavour and can be done better. Nonetheless, we were still addicted to the soup and asked for several refills.

The overall meal tasted quite decent and it took quite a while for our dishes to appear.
