MUSUBI Japanese Tapas & Seiro Gohan

Spotted MUSUBI quite some time back while I was doing window shopping in the mall. From the first look with so many steaming baskets hung on the wall display, I thought it was just another Dim Sum place in the mall till we walked a little closer and realised what they are selling.

The ambience resembles a neat and tidy Japanese Theme Style cafe with elegant lighting and bamboo steaming baskets. The environment makes diners feel comfortable with its classic modern Japanese design.

Here's what we have for dinner!

It's meal time!

Let's have some Cold Tapas from the menu. The Iburi Gakko Cheese Canape is calling for cheese lovers. It was served with 4 crisp wafers with savoury cream cheese, mixed vegetables topped with some ikura. Simply loves the bursts of ikura that added another texture in enjoying the Tapas.

Both drinks are refreshing given their own taste but if I were to choose one, I will have the amasake lemon sour.

For the Soup menu, we ordered Yuzu Tonjiru which is Musubi's recommendation. This Japanese Soup is often made with pork and vegetables with miso flavours. Love the number of ingredients in there and the refreshing taste of Yuzu within.

Another cold Tapas we had from the menu was their Salmon & Hotate in Wasabi Sauce. It was refreshing and came with garnishings like onions and chopped spring onions.

Musubi serves these thin slices of beef steamed and paired with Harajuku egg and sprinkled with colourful sesame seeds. The steamed rice was fluffy and goes well with the slices of meat.

The Steamed Ika Siew Mai was very well executed and does not carry the traditional Chinese Siew Mai Flavours. The meat comprised shredded steamed squid and fish paste. The natural sweetness from the squid and the subtle seafood taste was unique while the texture was fluffy. The Ikura enhanced the dish presentation with its bright orange colours

The food was rather unique to me being a Japanese Cuisine and the quality is there. Looking at its menu, there is no reason not to be there again.
