A cafe in the neighborhood makes it easier for me and my friend to gather and chit chat over some food near our estates. It's convenient and a good alternative to keep ourselves out of the bustling malls.

Food for Thought

We reached rather early in the cafe and as time passed, the crowd gradually came in. It's quite a surprise that it is fully packed even on a normal weekday evening.

We ordered some soda flavored drinks to quench our thirst while waiting for the orders.

Red Grapefruit Mojito - $5.60 (Large) & Mango Mint - $5.60 (Large)

The salad was simple and straight forward with shredded carrot, lettuce, corn kernels, cabbages and tomatoes with dressing. It kind of remind me of some prepacked salad box off the shelves in the hypermart. While the grilled chicken was stacked on top of the bed of vegetables and tasted delicious with a slight charred crispy skin.

Spaghetti was generously coated with Salted Egg Yolk and we can even feel the coarse texture from its yolk crumbs. The cream sauce was mixed with curry leaves to power up the pasta dish and a tad spiciness from the bird eye chili had also enhanced the taste.

Besides the Salted Egg Yolk flavor, the starring portion of the dish will be the one and a half crayfish used.

The dish looked special to me with Chicken Cordon Bleu comes in two cups shape. The chicken breast was stuffed with cheese and ham. They were fried to gold brown perfection. The dish is served with mashed potato, salad and mustard cream sauce. The meat was a little tough though.

The standard and quality of food are pretty average to me. Locality wise, it is not an issue as the area has a consistent crowd as it is located just right to the popular Jurong West Market and Hawker Centre.
