Japanese Fast Food

Beside the famous Ah Guan Mee Pok in the coffeeshop, another stall that worth one's try is the Japanese cuisine located next to Ah Guan. The one who handles the cooking had a band on its head which make him look like any other Authentic Japanese Chef in the kitchen.

The young lady who handles the order was soft spoken and had a different kind of accent through her english conversation.

After ordering our food, we were given a number plate to wait for the food to be served.

Diners can help themself with miso soup by scooping them from the pot on the stall's counter.

Miso Soup
Chosen Oyako Don for its a healthier choice with the pyramid logo indicated on its menu consisting of 500kcal. Diners can be worries free as Japanese Fast Food uses healthier salt and healthier oil.

The rice was generously given as well as its ingredients like pickles, chicken and egg for the bowl of Oyako don. It was really value for money I thought as such bowl could easily cost us $5 - $6 from the food court. Chicken was well cooked with Japanese flavorings in it. All was good except that the rice was too wet for me and lumps of it can be found in the bowl.
Oyako Don - $4.50
On a side note, I noticed that they have some Japanese patrons as well which somehow tells me that this stall is definitely worth a visit. Since there were a number of dishes and sides available, I will like to give others a try during my next visit.
