New Green Pasture Cafe, the vegan power!

Being a non vegetarian, I'm quite keen on Vegetarian Food whenever I heard good comments about a particular vegan eatery. Just like New Green Pasture Cafe, sometimes back they were on the local TV Program. The cafe is located in the famous Fortune Centre, an abode for the vegetarian eater at the 4th level.

New Green Pasture Cafe

As I stepped into the eating joint, it had given me a good ambience with its cosiness and laid-back style. Along the pathway to the cashier/ordering counter, you will get to see many interesting dishes photo pasted on the walls. They offes a range of cuisines, including Chinese, Western, Korean, Thai. What an impressive menu they had, it just make me feel like trying all.

The seatings were rather limited, luckily there was not much people during our visit as we were quite early for dinner. The dining area was simple with a door linking to their store.

Although the foreceiling looked abit run down, the place was tidy and airy. Air was well ventillated by Fans and air-con.

Look at its rack of organic items, enjoy exploring a wide range of nutritious items at the back of the cafe.

Patrons had to make their order from the counter and food will be delivered shortly after payment.

I'm quite a herb person and this bowl of Herbal Mee Sua was delicious. The herbal taste had infused the entire bowl which somehow drowned myself into such a wonderful dinner. Herbal Mee Sua was make up of sweet corn cob, mushrooms and vegetables, not forgetting the wolf-berries and herbs.

Another spot on! Orh Lua Mee Sua, the vegetarian way! The bowl of mee sua tasted very close to the non vegetarian. What's more they had it with vinegar and coriander leaves added, enhancing its taste as well as fragrance.

This dish was actually ordered by my friend who freak out upon hearing that we would be having vegetarian for dinner that night. He practises carnivorous eating style but was rather pleased with the bowl of vegan delicacy. Come with thick white bee hoon, with bamboo shoots, Tau Ki, carrots as well as egg. Having tried its broth, I'm rather amazed by its standard.

Hainanese Noodle - $8
The long awaited dish which was served only after we had finished the food. They took a real long time to prepare the delicate roll. The first look at it had won me over as it was beautifully presented. It tasted like curry puff to us just that it was well executed in crepe and rolled up with cucumber slices placed in between the cut portions with the luscious mayo sauce to touch up the dish.

Sri Lankan Roll - $7
Look at the curry with the potatoes cubes as well as mock meat. Can you tell the difference if it wasnt from a vegetarian stall? Forget about the long waiting time, this is worth waiting for! The outlook of Sri Lankan Roll looked similar to one of the sushi dishes from Sushi Tei but this is a healthier version , tasty with a little bit of spiciness. What a lovely creation!

Edge of the Roll

Out of so many vegetarian eateries I went to, I find that New Green Pasture is considered very interesting for its range of food order. And with its unpretentious and homely food, it's definitely a place where one can make repeated visits to.
