Thai Accent

I always remember Thai Accent for its authentic food menu. Their food is just as spicy as those we had in Thailand which left me an impression that food here is not just tailored made to suit Singaporean taste buds.  Recently, I just revisited them on an occasion to Vivocity.

The interior of Thai Accent still looks charming over the years. The colours of the furnishing were pleasing.

We decided to try out something else besides the mainstream selection of Thai Drinks like Thai Milk Tea.  Thus, we ordered Thai Cool Delight which is a blend of Lychee and Mint Leaf. What a refreshing treat.

A luxury if you are sipping this away in hot weather. The ice blended coconut is cooling and refreshing too.

One of my favourite sides from a Thai Menu. These perfectly fried golden brown prawn cakes' fillings were generous and plump. This dish is tucked with pickled vegetables and sweet savoury dips.

Tom Yum Seafood Mee Hoon Soup can be a big serving for one person. While the translucent clear soup may look harmless, the spicy level intensity was definitely there. Though ingredients are straightforward with fish slices, mushrooms, squid and prawns topped with coriander and dried chilli, we find that the dish was not only heartwarming but also stomach warming.

Besides being aesthetically pleasing to the eyes, Thai Accent's food has never disappointed me throughout these years. There is an option of Chicken or Seafood for Pineapple Fried Rice. The style and placement of food have never changed over the years ~ cashew nuts, pineapple, greens and meat floss.

When it comes to Vivocity and Thai Food, nothing beats Thai Accent food. The reasons I made return visits are pretty clear and during this visit I found that their furnishing was different from the last that I went. However, the ambience still remains the same, if not for the better. Cosy and romantic under the lights and the wooden furnishings gave a good culture or another kind of experience from dining. If you were to sit further into the restaurant, you can get a good and comfortable view of Sentosa Island just across the Sea.

We entered the restaurant with a warm welcome by the staff. Without too much hesitation we ordered the staples drinks and dishes we wanted.

Comes in a plate of 4, the marinated chicken were all nicely wrapped and hidden by the greasy pandan leaves. That's another item to order from the restaurant. Remove them from the leaves and dab them on the sweet and sour chilli. Though they are deep-fried, it's not too oily here.

If you like Tom Yum Soup, never leave this Thai Restaurant without ordering theirs. The Signature Tom Yam Soup comes with a clear or red base flavoured with Lime, Lemongrass and chillies. You can choose it to be prepared with chicken, fish, prawn or seafood and it's available in both individual bowls as well as a pot for sharing.

Knowing that their Tom Yam Soup has the fiery kick, do not judge its spiciness by its colour. The clear bowl of soup had max up the threshold spiciness that I can take. However, the kind of feeling is really "shiok"! No complaints about the number of ingredients, a definite go on your pocket if you want the kind of spiciness.

Standard may not be as good as Thip Samai (In Bangkok) but from a local point of view, I love its wok taste and overall the taste of Phad Thai Noodles with Prawn is above average.

Where the colors attract... the combination of bright yellow rice topped with golden light brown chicken floss on green plate, cut triangular pineapple slices, sliced tomato and cashew nuts were indeed appealing to the eyes. Talking about its taste, it beats the average fare of Pineapple fried rice that you can find in the chain Thai Restaurants we have here in Singapore. It's available in 2 flavours, choose between Prawns or Chicken.

Price may be steeper than the usual chain restaurant, however, if you do not mind going for a better quality of food as well as a better environment, you can splurge a little here.
