Ah Chiang's Porridge

When anyone of us talks about Porridge cooked by Charcoal, Ah Chiang's Porridge automatically comes into my mind. Ah Chiang's porridge serves a selection of traditional Cantonese porridge thick and smooth with your choice of ingredients.

The cups of drinks were all prepacked. The Luo Han Guo drink was chilled and served, not too sweet or bitter. Do explore the cup botttom for the Longan flesh.

Luo Han Guo Drink - $1.80
The winning part of their porridge is none other than the smoothness in them. It definitely looks like a paste to me at the first look. I was scalded but the porridge somehow when i accidentally dipped my fingers into them. Its so piping hot even though there are no sights of vapour emitting from the bowl.

Mixed Pig Organs Porridge - $6.60 (Big)
Stir and beat the egg to mix among the plain white porridge to find the mix ingredients. The livers were abit overcooked and hard in texture. For those who are so used to having Fried Fritters (aka You Tiao), they can be ordered separately.

Pork Liver
Just like the bowl of pork porridge, the significance lies in their ever smooth texture that even in such circumstances that I'm having a different ingredients in the bowl, they were somehow got left out. The scene stealer is still eventually the whites and not those century eggs.

Century Egg Porridge - $4
Given the choice of 2 types of raw fishes, I had chosen Si Dao Fish. Si Dao Raw Fish comes with 3 other colors that makes the dish's presentation stands up. With The shredded ginger, cut chills and spring onions to reduce the smell of what raw fishes give and the use of sesame oil. It makes a great plate of fish sashimi!

Si Dao Fish (Raw) - $5.30

Rating: 3.5 / 5
