Surrey Hills (Raffles City)

In a short time span, Surrey Hills, the Melbourne Inspired Cafe has opened 4 outlets in Singapore. I got to first know about Surrey Hills with their first outlet at the Surrey Hills Jurong D'Arena. I have not visited their 2nd and 3rd outlet yet but let's visit their 4th Outlet located at Raffles City Mall.

Surrey Hill Grocer

The laid-back and inviting nature of the cafe theme is uniform in its outlets, featuring lush greeneries as well as cascading foliage. For those who love nature, this place definitely fits the bill with its cosy interior.

This outlet features the chain's first-ever opened kitchen with a charming mini grocer as well as an outlet-exclusive dining menu that includes seafood dishes by MasterChef Singapore Season 2 Winner - Chef Derek Cheong.

While the world today talks about sustainability, Surrey Hills's serviette does give us a ponder with the wording "If you ate today, Thank a farmer".

The Farm Style Mushroom Soup is unique and has an exclusive color combination with truffle sweet potato foam topping up with a bowl of delicious Mushroom Soup. Pair it up with the fragrant garlic toast and enjoy!

Farm Style Mushroom Soup - $16

The Duck Leg Confit was charred till crispiness at its skin and was aromatic. Spaghetti was cooked to Al Dente perfection with mushroom ragout. What a good combination! Best of all, we get to enjoy the mushroom bits and chunks too.

Crispy Duck Leg Confit - $28

One of the popular dishes to order will be this Seafood Shashuka. It is spiced and made with seafood broth served with eggs, prawns, Hokkaido Scallops and pork chorizo sausage.

Seafood Shashuka - $42

Apparently, one of us was tempted by the tatter tots and hence had this order. Wagyu was served with master burger sauce, and aged cheddar in a brioche bun and paired with vegetables as well as yummy caramelised onions.

Wagyu Burger - $32

The Barramundi was locally farmed, brined and pan-seared. It was decked up by a bed of quinoa rice with aromatic coconut broth and served with burnt cauliflower.

Barramundi - $38

I would like to visit their 2nd and 3rd outlet for exclusive dishes that we have yet to try out as well as experience the Australian Backyard Vibes!
