Snow Mount Char Kway Teow

One would probably have given Teo Soon Heng Cockles Char Kway Teow a miss without knowing after seeing their signature since they are sharing the same stall with the "Goreng Pisang"(Fried Banana) Stall.

At a reasonable price of $3.50, one get to enjoy a plate of moist, cook to order fried kway teow showered with fresh cockles. Just like the traditional style of having Fried Kway Teow, pork lard was added to gave additional fragrance. Other than that, fishcakes, beansprouts, eggs, vegetables, chinese sausages and prawn were what sum up this tasty plate. For those who like over-dosage of sweet black sauce, I'm afraid that their input of sauce was just on the average, not too sweet and not too bland.

While most of us know that a plate of tasty Char Kway Teow requires the blood of cockles to give a good punch to the dish, I must say that Teo Soon Heng's Kway Teow did fit the criteria, however I find that there was still something missing from the dish. It lacked of additional fragrant which was perhaps the type of oil they use.

Nevertheless, they are still worth the calories and I don't mind patronizing again. :)
