Chabuton

Chabuton offers a varities of signature ramen ranging from Tonkotsu, Tonkotsu Shio, Tonkotsu Miso, Shoyu to Shoyu Zaru Ramen. They are of high quality and superior in taste. In fact, these high quality ramen using the same recipes created by first Michelin starred ramen chef.

Crunchy golden fried squid was a good start. Served with shredded cabbages, the battered squid was rather tender and went well with the Japanese style of Mayonnaise.

For the brave soul who had took up the challenge on LEVEL 5 without much consideration. There were 5 levels available where Level 1 is most suitable for low tolerance for spicy food and Level 5 the nose-watering and tongue burning aftermath.

The Challenge
Unveil the Yoruton Ramen! It has a spicy taste with chilli paste featuring Chabuton's signature tonkotsu soup. Bamboo shoot, Japanese leek as well as Char Siew had topped the bowl of ramen loaded with good smelling amount of roasted sesame seeds. To those who can take spicy stuff, Level 5 is no kick. :)

With additional item like the Nori Seaweed, it enlightened our meal. Pieces of Seaweed were crunchy without being spicy.

One of the recommended style will be Chabuton's Tonkotsu Ramen where the medium noodle texture was soaked in rich and creamy pork bone broth, topped with char siew, bamboo shoot and Japanese leek. To me it is the downgraded version of the Yoruton Ramen without the spice. This comes in 2 sizes, the Junior and the Large size.

Junior Tonkotsu Ramen - $8.80
Overall, I find that there is nothing to rave about. Taste of the ramen were pretty standard and with a limitation in the items in the menu, it's hardly I will make a return any sooner.
