Before heading into Apiary for their latest collaboration with SōngHè Rice, this little sign caught my attention! 

A good reminder to enjoy our happy moments, savour every bite and create beautiful memories together. After all, life is about counting the memories, not the calories! 

Count the Memories, Not the Calories

Taking a look into the freezer, we spotted three interesting flavours from the Apiary x SōngHè Rice collaboration! The lineup includes SōngHè Rice Berry & Sour Cherries, SōngHè Toasted Rice, and SōngHè Onigiri (Rice) & Cream Cookie. Each flavour brings a creative twist to the ice cream experience, incorporating rice-inspired elements into these frozen treats. With such unique combinations, it was exciting to see how traditional rice flavours are reimagined into something sweet and refreshing.

Flavours with SōngHè Rice

The decorations at Apiary are thoughtfully styled to complement the SōngHè Rice collaboration. From jars filled with different varieties of rice to the traditional field hat and stalks of rice paddy, the display brings a touch of the rice fields into the ice creamery. These little details add a rustic charm to the space while highlighting the inspiration behind the (R)ice Cream Collection. It is a lovely way to showcase the connection between rice and this unique ice cream collaboration.

Let's Participate

The Brown Butter Waffle was a delight, especially with its airy and fluffy texture that I really enjoyed. It had a lovely crispness on the outside while remaining soft and light on the inside. Paired with the scoop of ice cream and a drizzle of golden syrup, every bite was a delicious combination of buttery sweetness and refreshing creaminess.

The SōngHè Rice Berry & Sour Cherries brings together the nutty notes of Rice Berry with the tangy pop of sour cherries, complemented by a little chewiness from the glutinous rice. Another interesting creation is the Onigiri (Rice) & Cream Cookie, featuring toasted rice ice cream sandwiched between buttery cookies. It is a creative twist on a familiar snack, combining the fragrant rice flavours with the richness of ice cream and the buttery goodness of cookies.
